Last Friday BUILT was told by an electrician (with a very straight face) that economic conditions were such that he could no longer charge for jobs on an hourly basis. The local skills shortage in his trade are such that he has to charge on a daily basis for practically any job (so that he doesn’t miss out on the absolute certainty of filling and being paid for the hours either side of doing a small job).
