HS2: Stoke confirms its MIPIM threat to fight for a station

It was apparent at the Stoke & Staffs event in the upstairs rom at Cafe Roma in Cannes that HS2 is a biggie for the Potteries town.

There were clear indications of Stoke’s unhappiness that the current line of HS2 will pass through the region with no stop – a station is seen as a focal point for regeneration and directly harvesting the economic benefits which the new line offers.

The Sentinel is now proclaiming in a much more public way Stoke’s intent push this issue as far as it can….
