BIS spends £600 (240 copies?) on the FT in March 2013. Looking for tips Vince?

Here at the Blog we like having a look at the Government Procurement Card expenditure over £500 releases.

Looking at the Department for Business Information and Skills figures for March 2013, whilst travel expenditure “hogged” (see what we did there?) the limelight, it was also interesting to note the popularity of the Financial Times.

If the cover price of the FT is still £2.50 that equates to around 240 copies. If the Department has brought to bear its procurement skills on that bulk expenditure then the could be even more copies of the Pink ‘Un available to the team.

What do they do with them all? Does Vince dictate his Department’s reading material?

And £12,000 in one month on “outsourced business and marketing services solutions” with EC Group??

We ought to be told….
