As this Government Opportunities announcement appears to confirm, the UK Government is making good on its commitment to create fewer, larger framework agreements.
The appallingly monikered “Creative Solutions, Execution and Related Services Framework” was announced on Wednesday. It replaces 9 existing frameworks and is lated to deliver £3m in annual savings.
What’s this though? 14 out of the 27 suppliers are SMEs? Is it possible that massive framework agreements can indeed be structured in such a way as to promote SME engagement in public procurement?
Whilst the proof of the pudding is very much in the eating, it is certainly a welcome development.
