UK Budget 2013: Will “Red Tape Challenge” phase 2 have procurement regulation in its sights?

Hidden away in the Budget is the commitment of the UK Government to phase 2 of its Red Tape Challenge, launched in April 2011 and being trailed as having saved UK businesses £155m per year since then.

Yesterday we posted (http://tinyurl.com/cls6rub) on the support of EU leaders for the Commission Initiative to reduce the burden of regulation on SMEs.

The Red Tape Challenge can form a domestic focus for implementing that initiative in the UK.

As part of phase 2 businesses will be canvassed for their views…..so, go on, tell them what you think.
