We posted some time ago on the developing concerns over the implementation of GCloud2. The Channel has probed further on this story and one of the most striking elements for us is the deepening of the (predictable?) fault line between SMEs and the bigger players who have “monopolised” government IT procurement for years.
This week saw Bristol City Council announcing its open day specifically aimed at engaging with SMEs and giving them the best chance (within the existing legislative structure) to win work.
Perhaps Francis Maude should take a trip to Bristol on 4 September….
